Use your council or organisation address. A .gov.uk address gets you in straight away; anything else goes to the team for a quick check.

At least 12 characters. A few words strung together is stronger and easier to remember than something short with symbols in it.

What happens next

Click it to confirm the address is yours. Nothing happens until you do.
If your address ends .gov.uk
You are in straight away, and go on to set up your profile.
If it does not
One of the team takes a quick look first — usually within two working days. That is how the network stays what it says it is.
